Journaling

After taking an after-work class in journaling, I became interested in creating my own work journals. I found that by creating my own journals, I could customize them to suit my specific needs and preferences. Over time, I developed a system for journaling that works well for me, and I’ve shared some of those tips and tricks in my blog.

The first step in creating a work journal is to determine your purpose. What do you want to use the journal for? Is it to keep track of your daily tasks and to-do lists? Or is it to brainstorm ideas and jot down notes during meetings? Once you have a clear idea of the purpose of your journal, you can begin to design it accordingly.

For me, a work journal needs to be portable and durable. I often take it with me to meetings or when I’m working remotely, so I need it to be easy to carry around. I also prefer journals with a hardcover and thick, high-quality paper that can withstand frequent use and ink without bleeding through.

In terms of layout, I like to use a combination of dotted and blank pages. Both are great for writing down daily tasks and to-do lists, as well as sketching out ideas or taking notes during meetings. I also like to include a pocket in the back of the journal for storing loose papers and business cards.

One of the most important aspects of my work journal is my daily routine. Every morning, I sit down with my journal and write down my to-do list for the day. This helps me stay organized and on track throughout the day.

In my blog, I’ve discussed some of the things that work well for me when it comes to creating work journals. However, everyone’s needs and preferences are different, so it’s important to experiment and find what works best for you. With a little bit of trial and error, you can create a work journal that helps you stay organized, productive, and on top of your game.
